Dr. Jamil Bitar is a cardiologist with more than two decades of experience providing advanced cardiovascular care to patients across South Texas, including Uvalde, Carrizo Springs, and surrounding communities.

He combines international medical training with elite U.S. specialization to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered heart care.

Education & Medical Training

Dr. Bitar earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon, one of the Middle East’s most prestigious medical institutions. He then relocated to the United States to complete his postgraduate medical training.

He completed:

• Internship at Good Samaritan- Johns Hopkins Hospital 

• Residency in Internal Medicine At Baylor College of Medicine

• Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Baylor College of Medicine

• Fellowship in heart failure and transplant at Baylor College of Medicine. 

• Fellowship interventional Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine.

This rigorous international and U.S.-based training prepared him to treat both routine and complex heart conditions using modern, evidence-based cardiology.
